I made these Button Holes for the “Modern Gentleman” for Paul for our most recent anniversary

for me I made this star headband as something to go with my very glittery and very early Birthday present.  Its a bracelet and necklace all in rhinestone, shiny.

How dapper are we both going to be this Christmas? : )

Just got my little Geisha ceramic back today, I think those stripes are making her my new favourite

and I put a new Geisha print in the store “Candy Apple”.  Ive gone green mad by the way, if its green, I seem to love it.

Here are the latest batch of ceramic girls home at last

the pierrot that had an eye accident and ended up with a patch

and lastly the first of the Girl Hero’s to go 3D.  There were a few hairy moments, but I got there in the end and here she is standing up!

another one is due back next week, only two weeks of class to go though, so Im panicking to get more done

I have always loved the look of taxidermy but at the same time it seems a bit iffy, so I made myself a bunny head for the wall in ceramics instead

He was quite a tricky sculpt to do in the end, but Im fairly happy with him, I put two little holes under his chin to tie a ribbon into a bow for him and I think that might be what I like best about him

I made him to go on the wall underneath the beautiful paper dolls that Amy from Wool and Water made for Paul’s and my anniversary, he seems to work nicely with it somehow

Three more ceramic girls are being fired and glazed this week and I just made a little geisha with a dolly this afternoon, Im very keen to get much more done this term!

Ive put a new batch of work up in the store, hope you like them

This is my next ceramics piece, its a cheeseboard, shaped as a bear skin rug, the little girl sitting on the rug is actually the lid for the very small olive or dip container on the bear.

You can sort of make out the little container in the middle of the bear rug in this picture

For now she is living on my sideboard in the dining room, one of the problems if I keep making these things is what to do with them!

I am dying to bring out the cheeseboard though next time I have visitors, not sure if it will impress them or worry them.

Im doing an ebay auction again after the longest time.  Its always horribly stressful, and ebay have changed the process of uploading again so that I cant have a coloured background, so it looks a bit weird, but oh well, here goes, fingers crossed.  Its for a good cause though, all proceeds to go towards Paul and I having chickens in our backyard *L*

Its a smallish set, with a hand painted deer on the dress and antlered faux fur bonnet and matching cape.  The deer is a special one to match the dress.

Well after doing ceramics for about ten weeks now I finally got a finished piece back today, its such a long process, you make the figure, then its fired, then you colour it, then fired, then glazed and fired, I felt like so much could go wrong, so Im really happy to have her back and in one piece at last.  It was really weird colouring her in as well, she looked so different before the firing and the glazing changes the colours again.

Anyway, here she is, my little deer girl

I took her out into the wilds of our backyard too, her natural habitat

Im hoping to get back my next lot of work next week, its a bear rug, with head, as a cheeseboard, he has a little sort of raised dish in the middle for olives or whatnot and the lid is a little girl that sits on the bear rug.  Hope she survives her glazing.

Here is some new work that went into the Etsy store yesterday

This Little Indian Girl is my favourite, I am considering keeping the original, I only own two of my own works so it would be a big move…..

and a couple of the French saucy style, people seem to like the smoking girls

and pics of our seedlings cause I know everyone is just as excited about this as I am.

These below are some of our peas, they are about four times the size now, I swear they grow while I watch.

Some new prints in the shop, and they are all boys!  I often get requests for images of little boys, seems I have a girly bias, so I hope these balance things out just a smidge.

I named these two, the “Wishing Hat” and the “Wishing Trousers”, I really like the idea of that, I want both items

and this one is called Henry’s friends
