My first finished ceramics piece

Hello
Well after doing ceramics for about ten weeks now I finally got a finished piece back today, its such a long process, you make the figure, then its fired, then you colour it, then fired, then glazed and fired, I felt like so much could go wrong, so Im really happy to have her back and in one piece at last.  It was really weird colouring her in as well, she looked so different before the firing and the glazing changes the colours again.
Anyway, here she is, my little deer girl
front
she has a tail

I took her out into the wilds of our backyard too, her natural habitat
flowers
Im hoping to get back my next lot of work next week, its a bear rug, with head, as a cheeseboard, he has a little sort of raised dish in the middle for olives or whatnot and the lid is a little girl that sits on the bear rug.  Hope she survives her glazing.
bye

Hello you, what have you been up to? You should have a go, it seemed so much easier than when Id done clayish stuff before, somehow less technical, more fun.

Christina!!! She is incredible. So beautiful. “You’ve nailed it!” as they say on Masterchef. She had better survive that glazing! I reckon she might be the start of a whole new world of Jamfancy objects….

Super sweet! How little is she?

I think she is eight or so inches high, if I make a bunch I guess I will just make all the heads the same big size*L*
