Girl Hero's

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Just finished off this bunch of girl Hero’s as a slightly late entry to the Japanese Luvable Huggable for this year
There is Grumpy Girl Hero
Sensible Girl Hero
and Reading Girl Hero, who might be a little sister or something
I made little tags for them as well in case the Japanese people were wondering what they were all about
I hope they find nice new homes in Japan, and I think I may have to make a few more.  I tried a new way of attaching the neck so they are nice and non-floppy and I think an “Eating Girl Hero” and a “Gothic Girl Hero” are on the cards as well.  I even think I may do a little boy, “Windy/Farty Boy Hero”?

Thought I would share some of my favourite D-Bros products, they seem to be spreading out a bit from Japan, but as usual a quick rakuten search will help you to find them as well.  The products are always so clever and beautiful, I have these butterflies on my wall.
I have this one too, but Ive never quite known what I want to do with it, I seem to be keeping it for “something special”
drft-cj-c-main2Their cards are gorgeous, its a sort of paper doll and the card acts as the scenery

dbros08-i21Im not really sure what these are, but they look like biscuits and that is enough for me

Optical illusion glasses
and these very sweet bookmarks
Just looking at all these clever pretty things makes me feel better.

Shoes naturally

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Well, Christmas is pretty much over and if you are lucky and generous relatives gave you cash for Christmas, your thoughts may be turning to……shoes, naturally!
Here are some of my current favourites:
Mina Perhonen, I saw these in Japan, but they were way out of my price range, Im never certain about Western boots, but these had butterflies
More Mina I think
these are from Poti, very cute and extremely well priced
Jeffry Campbell
jeffreycampbell2Gold shoes from Cledran
These adorable boots from Cocue, that I am struggling not to buy
and these strappy but Im hoping infinitely practical and comfy shoes from Birkenstock as seen at Clevernettle that I did cave in over and buy
and just in case any of these seem a bit tempting to you, they can usually be found by doing a search at Rakuten, which wonderfully allows for us international shoppers to get access to Japanese goodies.

Little Baskets

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Thought I would just go with whatever has obsessed me on my morning internet browse, today it is cute little Japanese decorated baskets.  This seems to be part of the “Mori Girl” look which I think means “forest”.  I know hardly anything about it, I just love how it looks though, here are some of the bags that caught my attention, this one is from Nesessaire
cute baskets nesessaire
This one has fur……….not sure about that
cute baskets rabbit
this one only has the tiniest bit of basket showing, but my goodness I love it, I have no idea of the brands of these at all though
cute basket3
and just look at these Mori Girls for total cuteness!
While hunting about for more baskets this morning I came across these three wonderful websites, Im still browsing through them even as I type
her Tumbler
and Natural Beauty and Forest Fashion
If like me this makes you mad to actually buy some of this stuff, try here its a sort of Japanese shopping hub and Ive had a lot of luck just typing in a brand or style and you can then buy internationally.
Okay, Im off to finish browsing all the cuteness!
